The hire of the Balmain Scout Hall has been suspended for the time being., while an office is found to help out.

Ray White Real Estate have done this for many years as a community service and now want a rest.

1^st Balmain Scouts

Hall Rental Charges and Conditions 2006

General Background:

The 1^st Balmain Hall is currently used for Cub and Scout activities at the following times – no rental agreement can interfere with these set times.

Monday: - Joeys 6 – 7 followed by Cubs at 7-8.30pm (Hall must be vacated by 5.30pm)

Tuesday: - Scouts 7- 9pm (Hall must be vacated by 6.30pm)

Hirers must complete a Scouts Australia P2 form.

If anyone from the 1^st Balmain Group requires the hall on any other day or at any other time than that stated above - they must advise the booking agent ASAP to avoid double bookings.

Only the following rentals will be considered:

Purpose of rental	Conditions	Rental rate	Charges
Casual hire (1 off) of hall for daytime children’s parties.	Children ‘s day time parties only. –rental period is for 4 hours (this includes cleaning and removal of all food waste.) Casual rentals not to exceed 7pm.	$100 rent for the four-hour period (Note this is the minimum rental – extensions of the 4 hour block will incur an additional $25 per hour for daytime only). Key and Cleaning Bond of $100 refundable if hall is left in suitable condition and keys are returned promptly.	$100 rent and $100 bond.
Community, non-profit community groups (eg school drama group, mother’s group etc)	Must be a community non-profit organization not comercial. Need to have a block booking of at least 4 weeks to be eligible for this rental amount. Hall is to be left in a clean state and no food waste left on premises.	$25 per hour or part thereof. Key and Cleaning Bond of $100 refundable if hall is left in suitable condition and keys are returned following each booking period. These rentals are not to exceed 7pm without special permission from the 1^st Balmain Committee.	$25 per hour or part – minimum block of 4 weeks. So $100 rent and $100 bond.
Commercial activities (eg Yoga, Tae Kwan Do or other suitable quiet activity etc)	Need to have a block booking of at least 4 weeks to be eligible for this rental amount. Hall is to be left in a clean state and no food waste left on premises.	$50 per hour or part thereof. Key and Cleaning Bond of $100 refundable if hall is left in suitable condition and keys are returned following each booking period. These rentals are not to exceed 7pm without special permission from the 1^st Balmain Committee.	$50 per hour or part – minimum block of 4 weeks. So $200 rent and $100 bond.
