The first step is a talk with our District Comissioner - Ron B Brown in Haberfield - which is termed the Introductory Interview. Ron is in the White Pages and a wonderfuly friendly and helpful gentleman. You can arrange this with Ron directly.
Then residential weekends to complete the Basic Leadership One, Two and Three courses. The centres at Pennant Hills and Heathcote (both in Sydney) are accessible by train - both 5 to 10 minutes walk from the train station of the same name.
One of us went to the centre at Glenrock near Newcastle which is in a most wonderful setting by the sea and surrounded by national park.
Basic Leadership One at Pennant Hills and Heathcote are good places - Pennant Hills has better food!

The Balmain Scout Group will pay the course fee for this course (as for all Scout Association training courses) for you.
Basic Leadership Two times are in the training calendar and follow the Basic Leadership One course.
